Day 1: Arrival
Upon your arrival to the international airport of Roatan island a representative will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel.
Day 2: West side of the island
You visit a botanical garden with many tropical trees and plants. Afterwards, you visit a butterfly park that inhabits some of the most colorful butterflies living in Honduras. Here you can also see toucans. Shopping at the seaside village of West End can be done or you simply relax in one of the bars.
Day 3: Glass-Bottom boat ride and west end village
You can explore the underwater world with its colorful corals and fish without diving, as you sit in a boat below the sea level. You can watch local craftsmen or go shopping afterwards.
Day 4: Underwater Museum and snorkeling
The underwater museum is located in Sandy Bay. Here you will snorkel and dive and discover original and replica pieces of shipwrecks and Mayan artifacts.
Day 5: Hiking and archeology adventure tour
You will hike along the Ocelot Mountain Trail in the Mayan Eden Eco-Park. Here you can see replicas of the Mayan sculptures from Copan. The path leads above a suspension bridge and through forest with a variety of animals such as parrots, hummingbirds, butterflies, monkeys, insects and other birds. At the end of the trail a panoramic view of the Caribbean coast awaits you.
Day 6: Snapshot of Roatan
Part of this tour is a visit to the Iguana Farm to see these giant animals before continuing to the Dixon Cove. Here you make a short boat ride along the coast with its mangrove plants. Further you see some shipwrecks and afterwards you will enjoy a musical with dances performed by the Garifunas. Enjoy one of the beaches before visiting the Ethnic Culture Village for some experience about the way of life on Roatan.
Day 7: Shipwreck snorkel and beach
First you will be transferred to the Fantasy Island Beach Resort with a white sandy beach, surrounded by pine trees, mangroves and palm trees. You can relax at the beach or take a swim before the snorkeling starts. Based on your experience you will snorkel in the reef or in addition to a shipwreck. Afterwards you have more time to relax or go shopping.
Day 8: Museum and village
On this trip you visit a museum and a village to get to know some history of Roatan and Honduras.
Day 9: East side sightseeing
A combination of scenic views while learning about the island’s culture and seeing iguanas will be the start of the tour. Next, you visit small fisher villages, followed by more spectacular views to the coast. At the “Yubu Experience” you can watch the dances of the Garifunas, descendants of African slaves, and learn about their history.
Day 10: Canopy zip-line excursion
