Belize is a country with great beaches, turquoise waters, pristine rainforests, jungles and Mayan sites. This 7-day Tour Package will lead you to explore the Mayan site of Xunantunich, go spelunking in the Barton Creek subterranean caves, relax on white sandy beaches, snorkel in the tropical reefs of Caye Caulker, chill out with local Belizeans, and enjoy the fresh and delicious cuisine native to Belize. Bring your friends or family to enjoy this budget vacation package and discover all the wonders Belize has in store!
Upon arrival to Belize City, you will be brought two hours inland from the Belize City Airport. Here, you will reach the small city of San Ignacio, the heart and soul of the Cayo District. All roads and activities lead back to this city, making it a vibrant travel center.
Today you will visit the Mayan City of Xunantunich, which means “maiden of the rock” or “stone woman” in the native Mayan languages Mopan and Yucatec. Boasting impressive pyramids and stone engravings, it is a must-see for those who like archeology. The walk through the site is peaceful, and you can observe the fauna and flora of the site.
This cave tour is a little different from the others. Since Barton Creek flows through the cave, canoes are the only way to see the Mayan underworld. This also makes this tour the most accessible and least difficult of all the cave tours. As with all caves in Belize, there are some Mayan remains, but the scenic location, geological formations, and canoes really make this tour unique.
Today you will be transferred to Caye Caulker, an island located to the west of the Belize Barrier reef.
In Belize, one of the greatest highlights is the Barrier Reef Reserve System. It is the largest barrier reef in the northern hemisphere and has spectacular offshore atolls, hundreds of sand cays, forests and more. On the sailing and snorkeling tour, you will see waving corals, brightly colored tropical fish, and aquatic plants.
The island of Caye Caulker flaunts a magnificent culture that makes for a relaxing getaway. This four-mile-long island is located to the west of Belize Barrier reef. Friendly and easygoing, you will love the laid-back atmosphere of the white sand streets on the cay.
A water taxi will take you to the shore to be transferred to the international airport where your flight departs out of Belize City.
